Skeeter Leard -- Began in 1953 with Hallmark.   She won Magazine Week’s Award of Excellence for producing the New Mexico Horsebreeder; served as Art Director for three Folio 100 publications; created a Painted Pony as a fundraiser for the Friends of Bosque del Apache NWR. To celebrate the 100th birthday of the National Wildlife Refuge system, her “Wings of Morning” to grace the Friends’ limited edition collector plate in 2003. She is a member of the National League of American Penwomen and created the National Wildlife Refuge System’s Annual Poster for 2005. In Socorro her work is on display at Fullingim Isenhour Leard Galleries.
